New tranche – Mariana FTSE CSDI Participation Digital Deposit – October 2021

As you are all aware, interest rates are currently extremely low and with National Savings having effectively moved out of the Market, rate wise, back in November, and the top rate on 5-year Money in the High Street currently being 1.7% p.a. with United Trust Bank (at the time of writing), it is difficult to find anything that looks remotely attractive to Investors.

Well, we may possibly have the solution for the investment of some of those surplus Funds.  Of course, we will all need to continue believing that the Markets will rise going forward and if we do then this Deposit could work extremely well.

Don’t forget, a Structured Deposit comes with all the normal FSCS Protection associated with High Street Bank Accounts plus, importantly, and indeed very differently, the same Terms are on offer for all types of Deposit Money, i.e. Personal/ISA/Trust/Pension/Corporate.

The Mariana FTSE CSDI Participation Digital Deposit – October 2021 is now available for investment, with Goldman Sachs International Bank as the Deposit Taker.

When you take into consideration that the whole investment process can be completed very simply, there is no need for wet signatures, you can complete each investment by email and scanned documentation plus online Banking. Alternatively you can, of course, post the application to us.

Please note that for any ISA Transfer cases original wet signature paperwork may still required by many ISA Providers (which is outside the control of Mariana) and this needs to be received by James Brearley by the 8th September so if you are posting the application then we would request this be received at Best Price a couple of days earlier, i.e. by the 6th September.  However, if they are emailed to us then the 8th September would apply.

This investment tranche is underwritten with Goldman Sachs International Bank as the chosen Deposit Taker.  Standard & Poor’s; A+ (Stable), Moody’s; A1 (Stable), Fitch; A+ (Stable) (as of 10 August 2021)*

* Credit ratings should not be relied upon or considered to be an assurance of a financial institution’s stability or its ability to meet its obligations.

Headline details of the product options are as follows, please refer to the Brochure for full information on the Plan.

Mariana FTSE CSDI Participation Digital Deposit – October 2021

Investment Return:  This is a seven year Structured Deposit Plan based on the performance of the FTSE™ CSDI, the Underlying. It is constructed to offer a return if there is growth in the Underlying at Maturity, as measured by the difference between the Start Level and Final Valuation Level.

If this condition is satisfied and the growth is less than or equal to 40%, a return of 1% for every 1% the Final Valuation Level is above the Start Level is paid.

However, if growth is greater than 40%, a Potential Fixed Return of 20% is paid instead (2.8571% p.a.).

If there is no growth and the Final Valuation Level is below the Start Level, there will be no return paid.

Initial Capital is returned in full on the Maturity payment Date regardless of the performance of the Underlying.

The repayment of Initial Capital and the payment of any returns are subject to Counterparty Risk.

Don’t Forget the Risks

As with all forms of investment there are risks involved. These plans do not guarantee to repay the money invested. The potential returns of the plans and repaying the money invested are linked to the level of the stock market and also depend on the financial stability of the Issuer and Counterparty Bank.

Past performance is not a guide to future performance and may not be repeated.  Investment involves risk. The performance data does not take account of the commissions and costs incurred on the issue and redemption of shares. The value of investments and the income from them may go down as well as up and investors may not get back any of the amount originally invested. Because of this, an investor is not certain to make a profit on an investment and may lose money. Exchange rate changes may cause the value of overseas investments to rise or fall.

The promotion of the plans does not constitute ‘advice’ to invest. Advice is always specific to an individual investor’s circumstances and needs, following the process of ‘know your customer’, with the aim of ensuring that any product is suitable for an investor.

As always, the recommendation and common sense approach is to consider product solutions as a portfolio, never over-exposing oneself to a point of financial pain and suffering liquidity or counterparty over exposure.

At the Best Price FS price point (when combined with our smiley and helpful service) the Mariana Plans are certainly worthy of consideration for inclusion within investment portfolios.

Warmest Regards.
