Pension Planning/Tax efficient investing
There has been a case of confusion in respect of the Money Purchase Annual Allowance (MPAA).
Accessing benefits from a Defined Benefit Pension arrangement – such as the NHS Pension Scheme, does not reduce the Annual Allowance available. The impact would be created if benefits are taken from a Money Purchase – Defined Contribution Scheme.
Making a Pension contribution as a higher rate tax payer is extremely tax effective. Use your allowance.
