*Important Information: The return of your capital depends on the performance of the FTSE 100 Index and the ability of the counterparties (Investec Bank plc) to repay the monies.

The Plan is designed to provide regular monthly income payments over 8 years and to return your initial investment at maturity

On any Quarterly Anniversary Date, if the Payment Index Level of the FTSE 100 is higher than 60% of the Initial Index Level you will receive payments of 1.5% monthly, equivalent to 6% gross per year.

If the Payment Index Level is equal to or lower than 60% of the Initial Index Level, no income payment will be made for that quarter.

If on any Anniversary Date, from the end of year 2 onwards, the Kick-Out Level of the FTSE 100 is higher than 105% of the Initial Index Level, the Plan will mature early (Kick-Out) and you will receive back your initial investment and an income payment for that quarter.

Repayment of your initial capital at the end of the term is subject to the performance of the FTSE 100 Index.

If the Plan runs for the full 8 years and the Final Index Level is lower than 60% of the Initial Index Level, you will receive back your initial investment minus 1% for every 1% fall in the FTSE 100 (including partial percentages).

Therefore, This Plan has been designed for clients who are looking for a high level of income over a 8 year period, where the level of income is known and can be budgeted for, perhaps to meet living expenses.

It is aimed at clients who may be cash rich but income poor. As the capital is at risk, it is suited to those clients who are willing to take a risk on capital return in order to receive a higher level of income than could otherwise be achieved from cash products, and therefore are likely to have a medium attitude to risk or higher.

lego investing in pop culture

With the FTSE 100 sitting in the same spot it was 10 years ago, is it time that private investors started investing in popular culture rather than typical stocks?

A structured investment product is a solid option if you want to make money but don’t fancy the potential risk of losing all your capital.
