Start saving today and make the most of the tax benefits our Bonus Plan offers

Apply Online Today and Save

Our Bonus Plan in association with Shepherds Friendly is designed to help you save for the future with special tax advantages and guaranteed life cover too!

Start saving today and just think how much you could enjoy spending the lump sum on maturity. Home improvements, weddings, childrens' further education, a new car, a special holiday - they're all things we know we'll need extra cash for at some point in the future so the sooner you start putting a little money aside the better!

Saving with our TAX-EXEMPT Bonus Plan means you choose how much you want to put away monthly or annually, and with Shepherds Friendly Society status it means you enjoy special tax benefits that many other savings plans simply can't offer.

Just look at what our Bonus Plan has to offer:

  • Low cost TAX-EXEMPT savings from just £10 a month
You can save monthly or annually in our Bonus Plan, up to either £25 a month or £270 a year, to enjoy TAX EXEMPT savings. If you would prefer to pay higher monthly premiums then the additional premium will simply be apportioned into Shepherds Friendly's general Life Assurance Fund.
There is also an overall annual limit for premiums payable under qualifying policies of £3,600 in a 12 month period, which applies to policies taken out or significantly modified on or after 21 March 2012 (excluding pure protection policies).
  • Long Term growth through bonuses
As a member of our Plan you will benefit from the addition of bonuses each year based on the Society's profit performance. And as a mutual organisation our members are our primary concern and we have no shareholders to share your profits.
  • Enjoy a TAX-FREE lump sum
At the maturity of your Plan you will receive a lump sum which is completely TAX-FREE so you can enjoy the full benefits of your savings.
  • Guaranteed life assurance for extra peace of mind
The Plan includes guaranteed life cover which is paid out on death irrespective of how your Plan has performed.

This plan has the following risks

  • You may get back less than you have paid in
  • Early encashment penalties, which would reduce the amount of the final payout
  • Bonus rates vary from year to year depending on the performance of our investments and in some years we may not pay out any at all
